Murphy played Linda Grant. Murph led 5-0 in game 1 and lost it 9-5! The
next two slipped away as well. Entertaining if only for the sound of
Alan’s exasperated, strangled suppression of
his usual litany of swear words – ever the Gentleman! Richard
Baty played Adrian Craxton and also lost 3-0. Didn’t see this one
but Richard felt he played poorly with his error count higher than normal
(off the Richter scale in other words) – apologies Richard J Alistair
Nichol was awesome for the 2nd week in a row. He was 9-0, 9-0,
4-0 up before his opponent – Hamish Williamson - got a point! Graeme
Jones was disappointed in losing 3-0 to John Hamilton. No disgrace
as John has played a lot of good quality squash over the last 30 odd
years, much of it in Div 1, and had beaten Alistair 3-0 in the first half. I
repeated my win from the first half against an again disappointing Colin
Grant. 3-0 Another
3-2 loss, with the food less inspiring this time – almost Halhillesque
in fact! |
